Our Work

Our work focuses on developing small-scale, high impact projects in China, which enable us to work with young people to build their future. We work with the government, local authorities, schools, universities and other charities to put our ideas into action. Over the past 10 years, we have worked to; build the Da Miao Primary School, provide educational support to children devastated by the Sichuan earthquake, and sponsor Capital Normal University students in Beijing pursuing the teaching profession. See our achievements.

Choosing the projects we develop is our most difficult task and we dedicate a lot of time to ensuring that we select programs that will have maximum impact. We evaluate ideas on a case-by-case basis; often the opportunities come from our own internal thinking and experiences, but we have also had some fantastic suggestions brought to us by volunteers looking to help so we are always looking to hear from you. Our aim is to listen to all decision-makers – from donors to local authorities, and most important, the students that we help. Through this iterative process, we believe that we are able to improve access to education in the most efficient and impact effective manner. See our most current project here.

Where your money goes

For every £1 raised, we aim for 60p to benefit our students. The remaining 40p helps to raise the next £1.
